When Santa visited

Christmas is always magical, but the Christmas you were three was even more magical because Santa Claus made a special house call to Cobourg to see you in person. He was jolly and all dressed in red, as you might expect.
He brought some presents for you and you were so happy! One of the presents he brought was a set of figures from the movie Frozen. You were wearing Frozen socks too.
It was always so fun to spend Christmas Day with you and to see how excited you were. I have a decoration you made at daycare with your name on it that gets hung on the tree every year and a ceramic Santa Claus your mom made at school in Grade 5 that sits on the fireplace mantle.
You always saw Great Grandma at Christmas too, and in this photo when you were two, she helped you read a book about the Grinch.
She still thinks of you all the time, and this year, Aunt Terri and I gave her a special present so she will always have you, and your two cousins close. It’s a silver necklace with your birthstones. It has yours, a sapphire for September, your cousin Orrin’s garnet birthstone for January, and your baby cousin Hadrian’s March birthstone of aquamarine. Even though Orrin was only on earth for three days, he is always remembered.
Grandma absolutely loved the necklace, not just because it’s very pretty, but because it is all about her great grandchildren.
