Fancy Nancy

Have you ever read the Fancy Nancy books or watched the Fancy Nancy TV show? You might be a little too old for the books now, but you may have read then when you were younger. Did you know we have our very own Fancy Nancy in our family? It’s your great grandmother, Nancy. We call her that because, like the kid Nancy in the book Fancy Nancy, she loves beautiful clothes, fancy shoes and necklaces and scarves.

Your aunt Terri and I saw our first Fancy Nancy book in a bookstore in Texas one time and knew we had to buy it for our own Fancy Nancy for Christmas. She was surprised!

Grandma Fancy Nancy doesn’t have feather boas or Christmas lights in her bedroom, but she has lots of family pictures there.

Her closet is full of her fancy clothes and all her shoes. She has been very sick for the last year, so hasn’t had the chance to wear all her beautiful clothes as much as she used to, but once in awhile they get to come out of the closet.

For her birthday, we sometimes get Grandma Nancy her own Fancy Nancy birthday cake.
